We make first words wobble with fun
WordJelly began with a simple belief: a child's first taste of a new language should feel like a game, not a lesson. So we built activity books bright enough to reach for and gentle enough to finish.
Started at the kitchen table
Most early-language material sits at two extremes — flashcard drills that feel like homework, or apps that pull children back towards a screen. We wanted something in between: warm, colourful, hands-on books that a five-year-old chooses to open on their own.
Every WordJelly page is designed around real classroom and bedtime moments. Big friendly icons, plenty of room to colour, and puzzles pitched just right — hard enough to feel clever, easy enough to finish. The words do the teaching quietly, in the background, while the fun does the heavy lifting.

Play first, words follow
Four ideas shape every book we make.
Fun is the method
If a child enjoys the page, they'll come back to it. Repetition happens naturally when it doesn't feel like repetition.
Confidence over correction
We celebrate small wins and keep frustration low, so early learners feel capable from page one.
Gentle progression
Themes build on each other — colours, animals, numbers, everyday words — so vocabulary grows without a jump in difficulty.
Grown-up friendly
Clear answer keys mean any adult can help, even if they've never spoken the language themselves.
Made for curious 5–7 year-olds
WordJelly is written for children just beginning a new language — at home, in the classroom, or somewhere in between. It suits parents wanting a screen-free activity, teachers looking for ready-made practice, and grandparents keen to share the language of the family.
- Parents introducing a first second-language
- Teachers & tutors needing print-ready practice
- Bilingual families keeping a home language alive
- Anyone who loves a quiet, colourful activity book
Publish-ready quality, every time
We treat each book like a proper publication. Consistent layouts, careful typography, correct answers and a cover we're proud of — checked and re-checked before it ever reaches a child's hands.
Same care, whatever the language. When we add French, German or anything after that, it will look and feel unmistakably WordJelly.
